Instrument Application

To determine the tensile strength and elongation at break of individual yarns and fabrics.


Used to determine the tensile strength and elongation at break of various high-strength chemical fiber monofilaments, single yarns, ropes, threads, and linen; to test the tensile strength and elongation at break of various textiles, nonwoven fabrics, artificial leather, plastic flat yarns and woven plastics, zippers, and metal wires such as tungsten (molybdenum) wires. It is also used for tear tests, peel tests, elastic recovery tests, seam strength tests, elongation at a given load, and tensile strength at a given elongation tests.
